In the Garden - Month 3

In the Garden BOM - Month 3, Doris of Quilting Queen Online

The next two limited time free blocks in the In the Garden Block of the Month hosted by Amy of Sew Incredibly Crazy have been released!  They are designed by Doris  of Quilting Queen Online and you can find the patterns here.

I am using fabrics provided by Riley Blake for this QAL supplemented by some older Riley Blake fabrics from my stash.  The main fabric line I am using is Bee in My Bonnet's Calico Days.

These are my versions of this month's cute blocks:

As usual, I veered from the pattern a bit but tried to stay true to Doris' design.

As for my actual garden...Spring is still trying to emerge but a few plants are starting to grow and bloom...
Pie is in the future from this rhubarb.
The daffodils are trying to weather the snow and hail spurts we have experienced.
Our little orchard is beginning to bloom.
You can see my weeding has not reached the back beds yet...why do those weeds always grow so fast, no matter the weather??!!

Here are my prior blocks from this QAL and the links to find them:

I like that watering can block! Maybe it will encourage spring to come for good.

Your fabric selection is wonderful and your embroidery work and applique' is beautiful!

So nice to see spring blooms emerging in your yard.
I hope it's finally hear to stay.

They are so sweet, Kris! The background fabric could not be more perfect. Your garden is looking wonderful regardless of the weather. Such happy flowers :)

Your blocks turned out so cute. Your garden beds look better than mine, but I don't mulch. I agree it is cold, and the weeds are terrible, already. I saw *gasp* dandelions in the yard.
