QAL Progress for January

The weather outside is frightful...and will carry my blocks away in the wind if I try outdoor pictures...sigh...

Please excuse the photography but a bit of sewing has been happening around here...

This first block of a multi layer cake is from Fat Quarter Shop's Snapshots QAL to benefit St. Jude's Children's Hospital.  You can find all the details here along with the link to donate.  I am using my scraps and stash of Kate Spain fabrics along with a black and white dot fabric for the background for this quilt.
These are blocks 1-3 from the Harry Potter Bookcase QAL known as Project of Doom 2015 which can be found at Fandom in Stitches here. My link will actually take you to week 4 but I still have that block in process.  I am using scraps for this one and am not sure if I am happy with these blocks, still trying to decide.

Here is my one block for the Aunts QAL with Thimbleanna.  Oh my, not even going to tell you how far I am behind on this one but look to her blog for the others' wonderful work :)  I had plans for using Denyse Schmidt fabric on this one and have lost my inspiration a bit, January has been rife with winter blahs...excuses, excuses...

Also, there is another Sew WE Quilt hop happening now in support of Breast Cancer Awareness the link to which can be found on my sidebar or here.  My day is February 4th.

Hope your Friday is Fabulous :)

you are doing a wonderful job on your blocks and the weather is just frightful indeed. My sewing room is so cold I have to bring the work to the dinningroom if I plan to do any sewing at all. Looking forward to seeing your work on the hop.

You have been busy! I am doing the Snapshots QAL too but so far have only printed the pattern. I love your blocks.

Sweet looking blocks coming out of your sewing room...love that cake! Beautiful weather here, so I'm sorry you're in the middle of winter blahs.

I am right there with you and the winter blahs. Maybe I should make the snapshot block for January to do something new. Love your blocks.
