A Wool Wallhanging Finish

I have been using this summer to clean up some piles in my sewing room...one of those piles was full of finished quilt tops.  This is another of those that I have now finished with quilting.

It is a Buttermilk Basin (free at the time) Block of the Month design you can find here: free Buttermilk Basin Mystery QAL of 2015.
I am happy with the decision to do a kind of scribbly quilting in the background...
These designs are so cute, Buttermilk Basin never disappoints, love them!

I know this last picture is too dark but I included it because I think it shows best how the scribble quilting I did in the background makes the wool appliques pop up  :)  This piece was a practice piece to prepare for a larger quilt I am planning to quilt in this same manner.  Onward....    :)  Have a great day!!

That is a really pretty finish. Did you do the applique' by hand or machine?

Wow very pretty. How many quilts have you finished this year? All I can think of is I am lucky if I get a block made in a day. I am glad someone is getting things finished up.
