A Summer Baby Quilt

I have had these packets of fabric for a couple years and thought now that I am back at the sewing machine, they would make a good project to finish and clear out of my closet and into a finish.

They were part of a block of the month at a local quilt shop.  Somehow, the shop ended up with 12 of this particular block "kit" leftover.  I bought them thinking it would make a good start to a baby quilt especially with the soft colors.  The block is called Card Trick but I always see twirling hearts.

I was able to buy some yardage of the flower print to use as backing and probably binding as well so this project just needs cut and sewn.  The colors in this photo aren't as true as I'd like, the background is actually a very pale green.  One block down, 11 to go...

Your blocks look great. I always get myself confused with the card trick block.

I did this BOM and actually finished it! It was given away as a gift so I no longer have it, but I do have a few scraps of the fabric around somewhere. Good luck!

Beautiful fabrics and block pattern for a baby quilt.
I've always loved this Card Trick block and never really noticed the twirling hearts.
Now that you've pointed that out - it's SO obvious - LOVE it!

Carol at Just Let Me Quilt had a link to your blog so I've been looking quickly thru it. I love the baby baskets you are doing and I adore that you did a wibbly wobbly TARDIS for Doctor 4! Doctor 3 was my first, but Doctor 4 was so much fun!
