Doctor Who Along - K9 Tin Dog

This is the second block I've done for this QAL, but there are already a total of 3 free paper-pieced Doctor Who patterns so far provided by Soma and Caroline. There will be a total of 20 when the QAL is complete.  They are 12" finished blocks though I have been finding mine to be closer to 12 1/4" than the 12 1/2" needed as I finish paper piecing.  A bit small...

You can find the pattern here.

I was initiated into Doctor Who with number 4, Tom Baker, so I needed to include K-9 in my quilt, for sure.

These blocks are challenging, I think but do-able as long as you take it slow...mine are not perfect but I am happy with them and my son seems to approve as he expects this quilt to be his.

Your son seems to get a lot of the quilts you finish. I'm a little jealous! :) Lovely work as usual!

K9 looks great! I can't wait to assemble him myself. I guess you skipped block 2 - so did I. Looked WAY too complicated!
