Happy July my friends!
I am sewing along with the Shenandoah Valley Botanical Quilt project - the pattern is provided by the Virginia Quilt Museum and all pattern sales benefit the museum. Dawn, from Collector with a Needle, and Doreen, from Aunt Reen’s Place, are hosting a quiltalong for this quilt, here.
We have arrived at the last block which is supposed to be a rainbow, stars and a sun but I went another direction for mine as you can see...
I chose to make a cross with a wreath of dogwood blossoms and my signature initials and date, as the top was finished in October 2016.

Your quilt top is so pretty, love the cross block. I can't wait to see this one quilted and finished.
That is a beautiful quilt Kris! I love your version of the last block. Perfect!
This is spectacular! I saw a picture of the quilting go by in IG - are you quilting the background or the background plus applique?
Really beautiful Kris! Congrats on a spectacular finish!
The dogwoods are beautiful. One of my favourite flowers. I love spotting them whenever we go to Yosemite in Spring. I love your stitched dogwoods. The whole collection of blocks look amazing, Kris!
