So happy to join you all today with a fun project suggested by Doris of Quilting Queen Online the new owner of X Blocks templates and Amy of Sew Incredibly Crazy. We were given the opportunity to work with the amazing Block X templates and patterns to make a fun quilt.
I used the Pocketful of Posies Pattern without the suggested border and the 7 1/2" X blocks Template. It made a kind of elongated petal effect with the way they are joined.
I used Kona School Bus and Kaufman Quilter's Linen in Navy and Royal Blue with a Vanilla Grunge background.
I love the graphic effect and I think a baby will enjoy looking at this quilt as much as snuggling into it! :)
Thanks Doris and Amy for letting me play along with this project today!

I to love that petal effect you mentioned, it's like a pinwheel but different... Wasn't this a fun ruler to use, I really enjoyed the ability to set the ruler in a specific way and cut the block not really knowing if it was going to turn out or not. :) I'm not usually like that, I like knowing how something is going to work out, but I really took mine on as a project of wonder, trying to think outside the box. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat colours.
