This Quilt has been a two year process but now I am almost done...
Rolling out the batting to size...
It's a bit of a squeeze on my bedroom floor at 75" x 90" with the outer border, but I made it fit!
Sandwiched and pin basted...
Sorry for the poor pictures...it is just too nasty outside with cold and rain to get any outside.
A peek at the galaxy print backing...
I am going to start quilting today...and yes, I am a bit terrified. This is not usual but I feel a bit of pressure to get this right.
The patterns for the blocks if you too want to take up the challenge can be found here:

Looks fab! Will be following along to see how you get on . I've never quilted over paper pieced blocks before and curious about some of the bulky seams in some of the blocks like the Madame de Pompadour - that one gave me headaches in the making!
You have made this quilt with love there is no way it could go wrong. It will be so loved. So enjoy!
It will turn out fabulous! Eek trying to pin baste on the floor in that small of an area! I could see myself getting a pin in the knee as I accidentally kneel on one.
Crossing fingers...holding breath...uh, actually I'm not..I've NO doubt it will turn out wonderful. As I've been told, there are no mistakes in quilting, only design opportunities so have fun...the light at the end of your tunnel is not a train LOL
I'm sure it will be great when you are finished!
This is one awesome quilt. Take deep breaths and relax your shoulders. Don't want you getting a pain in the neck over this. lol
Looking great, Kris! Try not to do too much at one sitting. You know he is going to love it :)
