Block 1 in my Whovian Adventure TARDIS

If you are looking for my post on Its For the Birds Hop you can find it here.

This, my friends, is an open letter of apology to all my UFOs languishing the past couple days as I made this:

I mean, it's a TARDIS...how could I not make it....

You can find this and in the ensuing weeks 19 other paper-pieced Doctor Who patterns provided by Soma and Caroline

Caroline touted this as a beginner pattern...I have a love-hate relationship with paper piecing (love the way the patterns look completed by others, hate and struggle to do it myself) but I must say I got it together.  It's far from perfect but it is recognizable, I think...fantastic!
I snuck some of my favorite fabrics into this quilt block, much to my son's dismay..."hey, you ruined it with sewing definitions!!"....I told him to read the text..."border...a something...geographic boundary"..."Oh, Ok...that's alright, I guess..."

And here I thought I was being clever, always a critic, lol!

Love this and makes me think I could try paper piecing as this made me smile.
