Grannies Done and More Happy Mail!

So I found a group on Flickr I couldn't let pass by called Not Your Granny's Bee.  The idea was to make Granny Square Quilt blocks using this strip piecing tutorial.

There are eight of three different backgrounds (Kona White, Kona Charcoal, Kona Snow) for a total of 24.  I will be getting back 24 in the Kona Snow color way but all different colored centers...fun!  The tutorial is excellent and the blocks go together quickly once you decide placement of your fabrics.

The Happy Mail I received was from the last Blog Hop I did,  Think Christmas.  I won a cute little set of charms from Deonn of Quiltscapes...thanks so much!!  Now I just need to figure out something fun to do with them!  Be sure to visit her blog as she has some amazing work shown on her posts!

Thanks for posting this, Kris - I have been thinking (mostly in the back of my mind) that I need to get these blocks finished. So I'll put it on my calendar for next week. Your blocks look great! Which set do you like the most?
