Firefighter Block

It's been awhile since I've done any paper piecing, but today I share with you my version of Whims and Fancies Firefighter block.  I bought this pattern from my friend Soma who designed it as a fundraiser for firefighters.  If you have not already, please consider purchasing it or the companion embroidery pattern, it is a beautiful design and such a worthy cause  :)
 I am so proud of my brother in law who is a firefighter.  They are true heroes.

    Love the fabrics you picked. So perfect! It looks amazing, Kris! Your brother in law is a firefighter?!! Great to have a superhero in the family ( I think of each firefighter as Batman ) :)
