A bit of Sewing

I have simply lost the motivation to sew this last month...I have been working on other things but for some reason haven't been much in the mood for quilting.  The weather is gloomy and overcast and rainy and cool - usually that would cause me to run to my sewing machine but I ended up there today for a different reason...

I needed to finish the October step for Meadow Mist Design's Magnolia Mystery QAL - http://meadowmistdesigns.blogspot.com/2017/10/magnolia-mystery-quilt-my-half-geese.html

And sew together the pieces I cut out awhile ago to make the first of two Chuckles fish blocks for the Awesome Ocean QAL I am playing at with Colette.
Both these projects have been great fun but I just lost the momentum these last few weeks...I finally got back to it because I needed to clear space on my cutting table in order to do a bit of paper piecing of this pattern I bought from my friend Soma who designed it as a fundraiser for firefighters.  If you have not already, please consider purchasing it or the companion embroidery pattern, it is a beautiful design and such a worthy cause  :)

  3. Sometimes, that happens! But you’ve gotten quite a bit accomplished. All of a sudden, you’ll wake up one morning, and all you’ll want to do is Sew, Sew, Sew!

  4. I am right there with you. I have been doing plenty of other stuff though. When it is dark and dreary it is hard to be motivated to do much of anything.
