I decided to use some of the wonderful book spines fabric from this line in my project as well as the very popular X Plus block...
This was my inspiration for my project, these are my blocks for my month in the Modern Stash Bee I belong to on Flickr...
Since I have this block on my brain for March it inspired me to create this mini quilt "X Marks The Spot"
As you can see, I photographed it on my library card catalog...yes, you read that right, I have an old library card catalog cabinet in my kitchen...had a nook built for it when we built the house actually...
I copied the silhouette from the book spine so Nancy could search for her clues...lots of x's and spots for her to uncover in this block!!

ReplyDeleteVery nicely done and placed in such a nice setting too. My grandmother used to have something like that in her kitchen but I do not know where they wound up on her passing. All kinds of goodies tucked in there.
