Today I am linking with my friend Soma's Wandering camera series, check out the others here...
These pictures are mostly from my walk yesterday morning. It snowed a bit Sunday night and provided just enough white to start thinking of wintertime.
My husband finally got around to putting on a new metal roof on the bluebird houses...those honey-do lists are a treat, yes?
Just enough snowfall to barely stick to the trees...
The boys are enjoying the snow. The chocolate lab, Buddy, likes to shovel snow with his nose - the lab shepherd mix, Sam, is more interested in sliding about.
I can still enjoy the leaves peeking through.
My favorite, no plowing the driveway yet!!
This girl was naughty and hid instead of going in the night before and I found her distraught the next morning...after a night out in the snow I bet she thinks twice next time!! I am glad to be the one with the camera...true story: I had to chase her a bit with help from the dog boys and when I finally grabbed her wet, slippery, scared self I slipped and landed on my behind. No pictorial evidence, merely an embarrassing anecdote :)
Make sure to visit Soma and the others in her linky!!
Maybe a more willing to-be-tucked-in hen tonight - especially with the new snow? I could just picture your famous hen tackle - that probably would have been me too :)! Loved your pictures and the beauty of that first snowfall scenery.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures. We had some wet floppy stuff but nothing stuck. LOL about chasing the chicken. I had a story similar pulling the garbage can out to the curb when I lived in town. It has snowed and I didn't realize there was a low spot that had wet slushy ice underneath. Yep feet went out from underneath me landed on my back in about 5 inches of cold, icy, slushy water with a huge wheeled garbage can laying on top of me in the fence opening. Trying to push the garbage can up and off, to get out from under it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenery and photos. No snow in south Florida but I look forward to living someplace with seasonal changes one day.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are beautiful and so peaceful looking. Except for the chicken one. Naughty girl for making you fall on your behind. Ouch!
ReplyDeleteThose are so pretty, Kris. I love the one with the snow on the leaf.
ReplyDeleteyou had me at your blog title. Then lovely pictures showing things I would take pictures of. Then the labs. OMG I love a lab, er, dogs in general. I had a lab for only 10 years, then my poodle son died this year at 14. It's good to see your two enjoying the snow!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog too. We'll have to tag along together!

The story about chasing the chicken is too funny! The photos are lovely. The very first one is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteMiss Naughty Chicken does look very bold!
ReplyDeleteYour dogies are sweet. What fun for them.
Thanks for sharing!
I really enjoy seeing your photos. They show the prefect amount of snow to start off the winter season. I thin the first shot has to be a favorite. We'll just forget about the chicken chase and concentrate on the shot of the bad girl :)
ReplyDeleteNo snow in prospect here, so it was lovely to see yours. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow themed pictures!
ReplyDeleteLittle miss "bad girl" sure is pretty.
Lucky for her it was only an overnight dusting.
Sorry to hear she gave you quite the chase and tumble.
I love the photos, Kris! They are beautiful and serene, I specially love the second one. Ha! I was really really hoping that you would post at least one photo of the pups! You did!! Naughty little girl though. I am glad you weren’t hurt in the process of catching her.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for linking up on Wandering Camera!

So glad you weren't hurt falling, I'm sure "the boys" won't tell.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, what a nice place you have to walk.
