A little vignette from my walk yesterday, predictions are for 20s at night by the weekend so I believe this might be the last gasp for Autumn...
Oddly enough, this is my favorite time of fall, right before winter...ya, not much of a fan of winter weather but I love it when the golds start taking over.
Leaves make THE best sounds crunching through the woods! :)
I am a success at bird watching, I saw the most magnificent bald eagle !!!!! in these woods yesterday - but I am a dismal failure at bird photography as I just stood with my mouth wide open and no camera in hand...I am keeping an eye out in case it returns...wow! what a sight!
Be well, my friends.
Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing them and taking us along on a walk with you.
ReplyDeleteI haven't taking any nature photos for a while, unless they have a quilt in them. Now I want to because your walk and photos are beautiful! I love this time of year, too...not too hot, not too cold.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics. I keep having boyscout outings in the woods, at parks, and marshes and have been seeing beautiful animals. I love this time of fall too.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet it was a spectacular sight. The colors look so fallish!
ReplyDeleteLove your pics! A bald eagle - how wonderful. Love the crunching of leaves underfoot too - love my fall - even though I know it means winter is around the corner. It does make me sad though when I see the fields with the deep furrows - all ready and laid to rest till spring comes again. Time to snuggle in for a loooong sewing season :)!!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures you've captured of your Autumn walk are Stunning!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to see a bald eagle. No worries, I'm sure you will capture it with your camera if seen again. The important thing is you saw it with your mind's eye and your heart. A wonderful treat indeed!
A bald eagle! That must have been amazing. Sometime it's nice to not have a camera on you, you actually enjoy so much more. Really beautiful photos! I specially like the fourth one, very mystical :)

I so love fall, leaves, all of it. It's not cold here yet, but the air is fresh and crisp.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful walk in the woods. Snow here maybe Friday!
