And, I'm Back...

Won't waste time with the why's, let's just say life circumstances kept me from enjoying much sewing although I have been busy enough on other things.

It looks like it's been close to a year since I last posted...whoops!  Should be interesting to see if anybody reads this, lol!  I have fallen off reading blogs too, spend a bit of time on Instagram....

I have been trying to get up the gumption to start to sew again - and this week finally clicked.

Gay at Sentimental Stitches has just released a long-term bom quilt and those blocks just really looked like a fun use of my repro stash so here they are:

I am thinking reds and greens and yellows and pinks and browns mostly with a creamy solid background but I am just going to see where the blocks take me and try not to plan or organize this one much.  Will need to come up with a sashing stripe if I set it the same as the original and a setting triangle fabric as well.

Can I keep up?  4 a month certainly seems do-able.  I guess the original quilt lives in Chicago - may have to visit it sometime :)

I also have 4 quilts in need of binding, and the nights are starting to be just right to curl up under a quilt and sew :)

Welcome back! I missed you. I will love following your progress with the BOM. I understand the sewing slump. I am getting over mine this month. Being able to see again helps. lol

Welcome back! I am planning on doing the Ella Maria Deacon quilt as well. Going through a Civil war period again ...So much fabric in my stash is of that era. I love it. Welcome back and enjoy!!

Hi and Welcome Back! Although, I've been MIA from Blogger myself. Instagram is so much easier, isn't it?

Your blocks are lovely and I agree that 4 per month sounds very doable.

Hope all is well!

So very glad to see you back! And with a fun new project, too! If I lived nearby, I’d help you bind those quilts! It’s one of the favorite parts of quilting for me.

I loved seeing you in my blog roll, though I am way behind on catching up reading blogs so I'm late to your "Welcome Back" party. I've missed you tons and tons! Those are such tiny little blocks in those squares and the fabrics are beautiful.
